    Beats having to look at the J.Crew logo every time I put on my shell Alden boots.

    will be sizing the same way :slayer:

    ... the only reason that's keeping me from kopping right away is because i'm timing/anticipating when the Teck Cordo "Allan" MTO [ie, SF x Tricker's x SH] is slated to drop. unlike some folks around here, i have a very limited discretionary fund to work with :embar:

    Since these have an unstructured toe, they will be totally unlined, correct?

    i think there will be leather lining @vamp, as with most [if not all] their service boots

    A leather lining at the vamp is integral to the construction of the boots: at the front of the boot, the lining is attached to the insole, while the upper is stitched to the midsole, and then there's some overlap where both the upper and lining are attached to the insole, and then the lining stops and it's just the upper.

    These boots are stitch-down constructed, like a lot of the work boots of the North West. It's a very durable, water-resistant construction. For me, it's more desirable than GYW, since it uses mostly leather, and a steel shank, verus the canvas ribbing and cork filling in GYW'd boots.

    It's similar, but Viberg's stitch down boots don't use a welt under the upper. I'm not sure if it's technically Veldtschoen without it, and I know there's some variations of Veldtschoen construction with two uppers, but not all do.

    With regard to cork, as far as I know there isn't any. Here's a breakaway shot of a Viberg workboot:

    Can anyone give an idea on the projected weight of the boots? Compared to something like a RW Iron Ranger or Wolverine 1k, would these be significantly heavier?

    How much would shipping be to Canada? Would it be via USPS? Assuming that Viberg's factory is in Canada can they ship directly from the factory to the Canadians in this GMTO?

    It's around $30. It's via USPS. No they will not ship directly to you because they send them all to LA Guy.

    Thanks, I deliberated a lot and found that I think I agree with you, so I changed it [IMG]

    Really? where is LA guy located? so does this mean, if LA guy is not in Canada, me as a Canadian, I will have to pay customs for a Canadian boot?

    Has anyone found a decent belt that would match these?

    @TOJfirstimer

    You won't have to pay duty but you'll potentially have to pay GST/PST. I ordered a pair of Aldens recently which were around the same price and shipped through USPS, I paid $110 in taxes. If the shipper undervalues the shipment and marks it as a gift then we would avoid paying taxes.
