How water resistant is waxed flesh? Can it be worn in the rain?

Does anyone have a side view of the 2045 last with the unstructured toe?

Will it have a similar profile like the unstructured toe of the 110 lasted boot shown here?

I've seen pictures of 2045 lasted boots with structured toes where it looks like there's a little circular ridge at the tip of the nose of the boot which is not my cup of tea at all.

Waxed flesh thrives in the rain. Viberg chose it for their country derby boots for this reason.

This is the closest thing you'll get to a side view of that last with an unstructured toe box:

Last day, lads. Very last day. This evening, (about 6 PST), I will be closing doing the orders so that I can get everything tabulated and sent over toe Guy and Morgan in good time. If you manage to sneak in your order after that, I'm going to have to refund your money. There really is not going to be any wiggle room on this one, since I'm trying to slide it in under the wire.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

So it looks like today is the last chance to get in on this preorder. How is the fit on the 2045 last from Viberg? I wear an 8D from Alden in both the Barrie and Trubalance. The Leffot says that the 2030 last fits just like an Alden Barrie. Any thoughts on what size I should order?

This MTO closes at 6pm PST so you have some time to read through this thread to get a feel for everyone's comments regarding fit and sizing. There is quite a lot of input so it's worth it for you to feel comfortable. In a nutshell, most are recommending to go with your Barrie/Trublance size for the 2045 as well. That's what I did.

Just over an hour left, lads. Just want to make sure that no one is left out in the cold. We are up to 27 orders right now. We will have to do an enormous boot circle (no, let's just not.)

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Anyways, as the deadline approaches, best wishes to you, Fok, on your procedure and thanks for coordinating this so bravely and enduring all of us with our endless questions about sizing, lasts, leather, etc.

And... we are done. 28 orders. Wow. That is a record. Someone can wear a pair for each day of February.

    And now... the wait.

    Fok.
