    Agree with ya'll. 1035 is cool for other leathers. In color 8 especially it is clownish. A sleeker last is best to my eye for cordovan.

    1035 is my personal favourite last but the color 8 is just like a pain in the ass.

    I really like these #8 boots, its killing me that they dropped 3 days before Christmas.
    Hard to drop 1G on something when the wallet is already hurtin from gifts.

    No doubt. It's a tough time to drop something like that. Would have preferred to see it in like 30 days or so

    Shocked.

    As we know #8 can be easier to acquire than other colors so it is perhaps a bigger run?

    I think on instagram they confirmed they had quite a bit more leather for this run.

    That last definitely isn't "clownish."
    I definitely can't drop a grand on this at the moment tho...

    After the Brandy Gate incident, Guy confirmed they'd have at least 30 pairs for the next shell run.

    @meso

    Maybe not clownish, but definitely not sleek like the 2030.

    One would think that many of the posters on a "style" forum tend to be those who have an expanded sense of creativity accessing the full range of colors available to them. Yet that doesnt seem to be the reality, which I think discourages others from contributing more to this forum.

    I received the W+H x Viberg service boots in the mail yesterday and they have exceeded my expectations. The difference in texture is a lot more subtle than the promo pics make them out to be. It's also interesting that the toe is structured, I tried pressing down on them thinking they were partially structured expecting them to collapse, but they didn't budge. The greased sole is the stand out detail for me, I would like to see more greased soles in the future.

    Thanks! They are black rawhide laces, my four horsemen tumbled cowhide boots came with black rawhide as well.

    I'm surprised that the Colour 8 shell boots look like they're still available. Well, maybe I'm not that surprised as I really couldn't get myself excited about them.

    On another note, I found it interesting that on the info for the Color 8 CXL service boots, they are describing the boots as "partially structured". I have a pair of these and they are (and were described as) "unstructured". I wonder if Viberg is changing their approach to when to structure their boots.

    E-mail them. If they still have the material in stock they'll make up pair for you in your size.
