    Together with Vass, we developed the perfect winter boot. Available as a special order through us, the specifics of this model are as follows:

    Model: Jeeves Byron boots by Vass
    Leather: English Grain
    Leather type: Calf sides
    Colour: Mahogany
    Last: Pictured on P2, but can be ordered on any last
    Sole: Dainite rubber sole
    Welt: 270 degree Goyser
    Edge Finish: Antiqued

    Price: 700 USD Excl. VAT

    Worldwide shipping is included, as well as a tin of Saphir wax and polishing cloth.

    As a special offer for Styleforum members, we offer these at the price of 650 USD if we are able to reach 6 orders by October 15.

    Mahogany English Grain is a beautiful pebble leather, made on the best quality calf sides. The leather is treated with a mixture of Neatsfoot oil and wax, what makes the leather very resistant to rain and mud. With a 270 degree Goyser and Dainite rubber sole these boots make the perfect winter boot.

    GMTO closes October 18. Delivery is scheduled around Christmas/New Year.

    You need to make a GMTO in this model in a rarer shell color, preferably with antique soles. That will get the attention of the masses and drum up interest in other offerings.

    @Akeem

    Horween Shell Cordovan is a rarity these days (especially in the popular lighter colors), an while it is a beautiful product, we feel so is this English Grain.

    That's correct, the English grain leather, treated with a mixture of wax and oil, is up for anything!

    Also, details such as Goyser stitch and edge finish can be chosen individually!

    We received some questions regarding payment:

    We accept Paypal and bank wire transfer. In our online store, we also accept all major credit card payments through 'Stripe'. If we add this GMTO to the site, payment can be made there as well.

    Payment on all MTO and GMTO is possible 50/50. Half when the shoes or boots are ordered, other half when they are done.

    Also, a stacked rubber/leather heel is an option as well.

    @Notch
    Could I check if this English grain is the same one that G&G uses?
    By the way, thanks for the explanation and nice pictures regarding the Goyser construction you posted on the Vass thread some time back. Forgot to thank you for it.

    @ThunderMarch: I do believe it is the same type of leather, both called 'English Grain'. We source our leather (some of it of course) from a UK merchant, where many bespoke and RTW shoemakers source theirs. We first enquired about the leather nearly 8 months ago, and ordered about 4 months ago. Inbetween that time, I can remember the sales manager mentioning there has been a slight, but permanent change in that particular color. So essentially it's the same leather, but most probably a slightly different shade!

    No problem regarding the explanation. We have a whole array of pictures about the production at Vass, but we don't know yet what to do with them. Putting them all up on the site will slow it down too much, so perhaps a Pinterest albums of some sorts. We are also working on a more detailed blog post featuring the Goiser stitch!

    That's great. The texture is amazing.
    I'd like to say that I'm going to keep a close watch on this thread.
    This certainly has my interest.

    We now have 4 members that would like to join this GMTO, looking for the final 2 :)!

    650USD for a pair of hand welted high boots, on a last that you choose. It won't get any better than that!
