proof right there that they have developed a pattern that works in the past.

current collar gap is a production issue that those who ordered seem to be ignoring as an issue but rather in line with "planned styling".

    I stand corrected then

perhaps they've never formed a proper pattern

Sorry for not being clear. As HR said those images are of my LL jacket - it was just my intention to show a snug fitting collar without doing a Google search. As I said earlier though, I've never seen the Daredevil pattern without that large collar gap.

Here are few other example of DR jackets that fit snug at the collar (for reference).

All Vanson DRs have that "collar gap." It's just the way they make DRs, not a "patterning error." You either care or you don't. Personally I don't mind it.

Either way, seems a little bit shitty to make a snide remark about one of the premier leather jacket makers in the USA (used by people who... you know... actually ride) being unable to make a proper fitting jacket.

I think @BeraQueezy was only talking about the Daredevil pattern, not all Vanson patterns.

Also, is this really true? I might be wrong of course, but I seem to recall seeing lots of pictures of Vanson DRs without this collar gap. Are we talking about the same thing though? I am referring not only to the space in the "front" of the collar, at the upper part of the chest, but also the pretty large gap between the neck and the collar, like so:

Wouldn't that make that collar gap even bigger?? Maybe the pattern just isn't for you.... I'm just saying.

Haha, need to downsize on the amount of jackets I have...not the actual size, although I do appreciate the concern.
