Did anything ever come of this or is the jacket dead?

Is it still possible to order the cafe racer that was based on Junya's design? Thanks.

We had to get the shoulders brought in from the prototype pattern, so that's taking some time to come through...hang tight and we'll let everyone know once it's ready to order!

Nothing yet...we're just waiting for the Daredevils (double rider) to come through production and then we'll focus on the moto. The project hasn't lost its place in the Vanson pattern queue, but this queue has had a major bottleneck since last July!

Is there a new estimation of the timeline for this now that the DR is moving along?

Not yet--we won't reevaluate this project until the DR has been delivered!

all the enfilelds i see for sale have a diagnol breast pocket, whereas this one appears to have a flatly horizontal pocket which i prefer. is this custom? older?
    what's the story here?

The standard Enfield design has a diagonal chest pocket, but you can order it custom with a horizontal chest pocket. If you have any questions about ordering the Enfield, just shoot an email to info@thurston-bros.com!

Since you guys are about to receive the daredevils, I guess we'll get on with this jacket in the next few days?

We are having a meeting with Vanson about this shortly...they are having problems with the prototyping process (namely, not enough staff to meet demand for custom design). We will see what is realistic for this project...

Any chance of solo orders in that case?

It's not looking good for this project and even a solo order would be too much for the extensive nature of this project. However, we could use the base pattern of the Daytona to create a Daredevil-styled cafe' racer for solo orders:

Would the zipper config and the fit be on the table? That's really what I want.
