V::room by Fok. Photography by Dan Chaparian [IMG] Another newcomer to Capsule, V::room showed luxurious basics, their stock in trade. For FW10, there were not the unfinished hems of previous seasons, and the colors were bright, with soft jerseys and fleeces in blues, yellows, reds and orange, as well as in various shades of grey. [IMG] Colors [IMG] and grey Flatstitching was used throughout the line. According to the rep, Yumiko, (the designer was there but seemed shy) the flatstitching was for comfort, and comfort was clearly the goal. The fit was relaxed for most of the pieces. The standout piece was a cashmere fleece hoodie “parka” for $1600+ at retail. While I love my hoodies, that’s a reasonably mortgage payment, right there. [IMG] "Let's see what a baller like you might like." [IMG] "That is nice. Just lemme take a look at the... [IMG] "I'll be back." "I call bullshit." There were also a variety of more affordable, but still dear, hoodies, tees, cardigans, and thermals. Making outerwear in fleece has been popular for a number of seasons. V::room renders a classic harrington jacket in a soft grey midweight jersey flecked with color [IMG] Not Steve McQueen's harrington [IMG] V::room designer tickled at the prospect that he may be selling me a $2K+ fleece jacket.* *I made this price up. I'd never seen V::room shoes either. There were a variety of plimsoll style shoes, in the same materials as used in their sweatshirts and jackets. [IMG] Good for crosstraining days V::room has also added a line of loungewear. What exactly differentiates the homewear line and the mainline alludes me, however. Everything is comfortable enough to wear to bed. [IMG] Decked out in V::room - the most comfortable rep in the building Except for the scarves, I guess (and of course, the shoes). There was an entire rack of extra long, washed, super soft cashmere scarves in fleece and jersey that my wife will surely have next winter. Me, I think that I'm going to content myself to their "basics" - supersoft tees and sweats that will only cost me one kidney. [IMG] Stocking stuffers for next year

Does anybody know of any online stores with a larger selection of V::room? Most stores only seem to be carrying a few items each.

Not sure about online, but last time I was up in LA, Barney's seemed to have enough pieces to give me a sense of their stuff...if you have one local that carries V::room, that might be a place to start. And +1 on a cool writeup, I'd never seen their shoes either! Good to know
