Could swear I bought that exact pair on Tuesday in the shop. :D They are really delicious, to say the least. Oh, and the shop is a thing of beauty. Only a butler missing who passes around fine china (with the obligatory Earl Grey).

Thank you. They haven't seen the wild yet but shall soon (no wets at the start for sure).

One Q, is your online stock up to date? When I was in the store, some EG (Galway, Alderley) that show in stock, actually weren't. The gent who served me said there were some issues with the updating.

Also, are you still present in Coex Hyundai? Seen that mentioned at the beginning of this thread.

We left Hyundai Coex to open our outlet store near the main store. If you have not visited the outlet you should. Some very good deals on shoes and accesories. This is why stock might not be up to date. We moved stock to the outlet so trying to get everything organized. It will be completely up to date by next week. No cordovan for me today also. Foot the coacher army boots! [IMG]

Second visit today. The main store could easily become a welcome refuge to me. :)
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Anthony, who very patiently and ever so courteous guided me through different models and lasts, I have never had the chance to try before. He gave me great advise on what works well for me, and what not so much and thereby confidence to make the right choices. I will be back for more.

I have seen the photographer at work.
Funny enough, in a shop full of gents, she is the only lady. Not full-time though, I'd guess.

I had to choose between the alderley and the brown shannon. I went with the shannon because I own so many casual boots. The alderley might be added if I get rid of some of the others. [IMG]

Those are pretty, for sure. Shannon is on the list for the future. When I tried the black ones, it looked like I ideally take them (82 last) in D width. Which is funny as the 202 Alderleys fit me quite well in E, whereas general consensus seems to be that the 202 fits roomier than the 82. Ok, there is some room left for thick socks, which I like for the casual boots and purpose.
In essence, does it makes sense if for me both could well be in D width, meaning there is no need to size up in width for the (edit for reverse meaning, to not confuse anyone reading this) Shannon/Galway 82 vs Alderley 202?

I would come in and try all lasts on at once. We know how important finding the right size is and all the staff have great things to say about you! I have the 202 and 82 in the same size. There is some difference for me but not much.

Thank you very much. I can wholeheartedly repay the compliment.
It has been a very joyful, pleasant and relaxing experience and I shall visit again shortly. Also helps that my wife's and my current favourite eatery is very close by. If you haven't yet, I'd suggest to pay the Melting Shop a visit. We ate until we were close to bursting at the seams.
