I was gonna make one last night but I couldn't find a template that I liked.[IMG]
Really? There are a ton of themes to browse through here, if you still can't find one you like that much PM me. I'm bored as shit and home on spring break so I can probably make something.
When you've seen one edgy/arty/fashion/design/selfcutter/strongpedo blog, you've seen them all.

So true. I mainly use the one I posted here as more of a memory bank of pictures/videos/music I've found online and have liked. Now whenever I want to view it again I know I can.

Last I checked, I had like 10 or so. Try reblogging posts or some shit. And it helps to post tags.

Seriously, if I see another faggy pull quote about how graphic design is the most crucial thing in the Universe, I'm going to puke all over my keyboard.

You can like the wind, but the wind can't like you.

Your piano thing was nicely mathematical.

The illustration under it is detail from a larger 4 x 8 matrix of charts used to compose the second piano piece. It's rare I that allow anyone a glimpse into the depths of my nerdiness.

Tagut I think I like your piece but I really don't have any reference point for contemporary classical. If you were to recommend one single album for this purpsoe what would it be?

(I have the obvious stuff like Glass and Cage et al.)

If you mean for 20th C. Classical at large, that's a huge question. I don't even have that much music that post-dates the '60s, so I may not be the best authority.

Right now, the CD closest to me is Pollini paying Schoenberg's complete piano works-- excellent, excellent, excellent. An even closer approximation to what I was aiming for in my own piece is early, "miniaturist" Webern. You can get Webern's complete opus-numbered works on a 3 CD set-- I have the set conducted by Boulez. Webern's only solo piano piece- the IMO overrated "Piano Variations"- came late in his career, however, and I think Schoenberg in general had a much better sense of writing idiomatically for the instrument.

This website has a HUGE archive of avant-garde classical recording, much of it doubtlessly out-of-print:

There are also a few good blogs for 20th C. music out there. Try this one:
