Englade if you search #trumanboots on instagram there are some posted there. Looks like they were purchased 33 weeks ago and he posted an updated pic 2 days ago. Look great!

Looks sick. A little bright blue for my tastes but still, nice make.

Initial quality seems to be on par with that of Viberg.
The value proposition is much better.
Fit is similar to 2030, but 1/2 size smaller.
I wear 8 in 2030, and 8.5 in this Truman last.
The last is only slightly sleeker.
The instep seems to be similar.
I don't have any unstructured toe boots from Viberg, as mine are all partially structured.
The proportions are slightly different. the vamp feels shorter, and the cap on the toe is a hair longer.
The heel cap does not extend all the way to the pull tab.

I want to be careful about comparing them to Viberg.
I don't get the feeling they are trying to be a "Viberg copy".
They appear similar, but it sounds like they have a lot of interesting things in the works.

    Unstructured
    Danite

Cavalier is a variation on Cxl that was made for brighter colors.

    Danite has dots for treads.
Dante Logger is a lug sole. (I think)

Yes exactly and the logger is a tap sole which means you get no black break in the heel stack

Logger is a 2 piece sole, much more aggressive lug than Dainite.

You're correct. My boots have eight. I got mine before he officially started taking orders, so they are the previous pattern. Personally, I really like this design.

I'm trying to decide on a toe cap or not. For those who have them, are they pretty uniform on both boots? I have seen some pretty crooked or different looking toes on other custom made boots. I don't know if it is more of a risk to order them or not.

I recommend the cap toe. I think that they add a little bit more character to the boot. My pair is very uniform, and they have very good quality control so you needn't worry.

I've been eyeing Truman boots for a while now, and these impressions and input are excellent for those of us Viberg owners who might want to take the plunge. Thank you!

I see the opportunity with Truman to make certain customizations as being a huge plus. I'm not sure I see the more bulbous toe being so good. I also see longer delays on the immediate horizon. But overall quality (Leather, Build) with few mistakes is also very promising.
