Sorry about that, folks. One of the tables needed a repair, and it took a really long time. We should be good to go now though.

blynch's idea in this thread is brilliant:

This forum needs a No Bump Reply Button
Then you could flame out newbs to your hearts content without filling up the front page.

    Is that even possible?

According to the current OED, these days either is right. The comma is more important in defining the meaning. [IMG]

    Dear anal-retentive mods,

For the good of humanity can you please switch out the "which" for "that"?

Cars which can make Al Gore moist

i made a small amendment to it for your sake.

I just saw a thread in Squirrel that linked to some extremely extremely nsfw content, so would like to remind the board that linking to such matter is completely completely not appropriate.

There is no joke funny enough to justify links to hardcore porn, and this has been mentioned several times by mods in the past.

Personally, I thought the person responsible (who has been warned) was lucky to dodge some time in the hole for it. I seriously doubt his luck will carry to the next person who tries it.

At least your addition is grammatically correct.

The original thread is correct as well; it's just not colloquial.

It's correct but its usage is awkward. It is usually recommended that "which" be employed only for non-restrictive clauses. Cars which make Al Gore wet is restrictive so "that" is more appropriate.
