That jacket would do sweet fuck all if you fell of your bike wearing it.

He said in Reddit he'll be wearing armour under it.

Yes, but it will shred when it hits the pavement. The armor may help protect him from the initial impact but the road burn will be pretty severe when his jacket tears away. Calfskin is not something you use for a moto jacket. Not saying the Luxire response was warranted, that's a separate issue, but the jacket specs for his desired use and his expectations were out of whack. Lesson learned.

Please don't email me with wanting to change a measurement 0.2" and 0.1". And then email me a day later wanting to change it back to a 0.1" and 0" change. Seriously... come on. Emails like that won't be getting a response from me anymore. Not when I'm doing this pro bono.

Guys, industry standard tolerances are about +/- .25" for lots of measurements.

This was me.  None of my other emails with bigger issues weren't getting answered, such as getting hit with £50 custom fee cause TOJ valued my day pack what looks to be $710USD (or something with 3 digits).

I know charly doesn't deal with these but would be good to know How they do get dealt with

So, there are legit complaints, but that ToJ didn't help you circumvent tariffs is not one of those. C'mon man. (One of my pet peeves.)

The daypack shouldnt be $710. It's a $350 item. If they doubled the value and got him more taxes its TOJ's fault. Cmon Fok.

Fok - just close this thread, for real. nothing productive has come out of it in months. TOJ doesn't owe you this headache.

Yep, let's close this thread.. the one channel where Drew might want to contact everyone. Yes, let's do that. Seems like a good idea. Yep.

Yep, don't know why I'm answering emails right now. But I will keep doing so, until everyone gets their jackets.

Closing this thread would be a silly idea since Drew is clearly reluctant to communicate by other channels. At least he posts here, regardless of how infrequently or how off-base the information he offers may be. If I remember, the complaints were much worse even a few months ago. Yes, there hasn't been any big surge of shipments, and yes I'm waiting for Drew to post something about whatever the latest hold-up is, but there does seem to be a steady if slow stream of people receiving their jackets.

And I don't know--I might be crazy but for an $800 bit of clothing I just can't see the point in requesting minuscule changes of an inch, even--surely that's a margin 99% of people (esp. the TOJ user base) would be satisfied with?

    Set some rules:

If email body contains the word "change"
    Auto reply: "Got it! Thanks!"

If email body contains the word "when"
Auto reply: "Your jacket is done and will be shipped soon"

If email body contains the word "refund"
    Send to trash.
