    True as fuck.

If I'm not cleaned up I can't pull off my rick jackets.

Sometimes I don't bother though when living day to day life and running errands. Taming the hair every morning is a hassle. Gotta straighten that shit and style it to make it look good. Blergh.

Once upon a time I thought a Norelco DIY hair clipper was all I needed.

Then i discovered an actual salon. Sure, it's $70+ each time but I cannot overestimate the value of having a consistent expert who knows their stuff, who knows how to make you look good (or your hair, at least), and it's become my time for total self-pampering every few months (hot towels, free booze, and a couple of adorable bulldogs to play around with too).

    Never ignore the hair care!

cry me a river. You have hair. I'd trade you your "hassle" for my male pattern baldness any day. :)

Can post pics of the salon next time (though really it's just any decent salon--they usually offer similar settings and service). I never intend on posting self-pics however.

I get my haircut at a place that hosted a Styleforum meetup in SF. It's pretty nice and they have locations around the country and Toronto IIRC. Free booze + nails + shoeshine + facial + haircut combo. They have social events too, but I usually can't attend as they're during the week.

My stylist hooks me up, been with him for 15 years. Charges me $40, no beer or facials there.

But with the $30 i'm saving, I can buy my own beer lol and some Kiehl's products.

I'll be honest, the standard of deviation for Asian guys is quite low. I feel like Brad Pitt when I go to Hong Kong for vacation. Everyone is like 5"3, 110 lbs, and pretty ugly.

In Toronto, it's better but still a pretty low standard. Then you got the mainland guys sporting Supreme and CDG Play with the worst swag and facial features ever known to man.

I've stayed out of the whole discussion up here's my two cents.

I only became interested in what I wore midway through 2012,and spent some money on stuff here and there, and by 2013, I wanted to try doing the whole SWD thing, and henceforth ordered five black TOJ jackets. About July this year I finally accepted that I looked ridiculous in a lot of the things I was wearing, and it wasn't acceptable for me to dress that way in a lot of situations I was in, and started dressing more classically. I've gone from five black jackets to one brown, two black and a sand suede, which I feel will suit me a lot better. The first jacket I ordered was a black DR and I've kept that, it'll be great for uni paired with some blue denim, white tee and black boots or white sneakers. Alternatively it'll probably become my go to pub jacket, paired with black jeans, black boots and my blue Chelsea kit.

Yeah I don't even know if an MDR is going to work well with my usual stuff: BB Milanos or N&F jeans (just got their silk denim and it really looks lovely), Epaulet/Kamakura/BB button-down shirts, whole lotta cardigans/Shaggy Dogs, shoes are usually Chelseas/longwings. But hey, everyone needs one brown/tan jacket.

It's the black jacket that I think is just too biker/bar-wear.
