Disclaimer! TOJ said nothing about when the original order was placed. I contacted the guy with the paypal address asking.
So they might aswell have pushed me back in the line for all I know. And I really don't care. Leather isn't warm enough for the Norwegian winter anyways :)

It's almost like they don't have enough of a sense of accepting and belonging so they try to find it through internet communities.

It just happens to be that some of them are older dudes with a fetish for horse butt shoes, hehehe.

I would never have have spent like 1,1170 for 2 jackets if I hadn’t seen this topic and been totally brainwashed. I too feel really bad and ashamed when I think of all the money I have been spending on clothing over the last months. Does it really improve my life? Probably not. Did I need 2 TOJ jackets? Definitely not. I will see how this refund thing turn out but it’s probably time to become an adult and save up money for real world things.

This forum is great because it makes you discover new brands, stores and all, but it also creates a lot of unnecessary needs. I read a couple of pages of the NMWA thread and you're absolutely right, it’s indeed hilarious (and freaky) to see clients say “Thanks” to the store, and not the other way around. Like the creation of the store induced a positive change in their life.

A July/August order is quoted at a few months? My September 2013 order is fucked. A year and a half...

And I was told first half of 2015 for an April order.
It was probably a typo, he surely meant 2016.

You gotta clarify this man. You have a spot from July or August 2013 and they said it will be at least a few more months? Wait, wat? Like as in 20 months?

Wouldn't be surprised it hits 2 years+++ for the last orders. At the current pace it will be even more than that

"For the spot that's available, it'd be a few months."
... and we all know it's always a bit longer than they estimate.

According to the guy I paid its a July/August 2013 spot.

There has always been a symbiotic relationship between sellers and customers. Each offers the other something valuable. Pre-internet, this was even more so, though just less public. The "introducing your son to your tailor/shoemaker, etc..." though romanticized, is actually quite real. Every retailer worth his salt used to have a "little book" with all the particulars of a customer - likes, dislikes, price points, career, family, etc... Society works because of the relationships, including commercial ones, between people. No one is entitled to anything from anyone else, except by mutual consent. It is when the trust in these relationships are breached that you end up with situations like this.

Or maybe you could buy one baller coat and donated it to the drive, so that one homeless dude gets to be a baller.
