one of the ToJ members has already expressed frustration about the volume of e-mails they get regarding the status of orders. just wait and charly will get back to you when it ships.

i was told 3-5 weeks, but turnaround seems to be more the latter due to the small setback they had with zippers, and i can imagine there was a large surge in orders due to the the price increase deadline. for the guy that ordered in 12/28, just expect your jacket sometime in the first half of February.

The wait itself for the jacket isn't killing me. I just want to see how the jacket fits compared to the first one since slight revisements were made...so I can get cracking on putting in the 3rd order!

Always gotta have something arriving in the mail. [IMG]

There is something that I feel like I should mention. As you can see from the side view, there is a fair bit of ballooning around the butt area (Trust me, I don't have a big butt). As a result, the coat doesnt drape as nicely when only the top 2 buttons are button. Buttoning all 3 makes it better.
I get this on my Chesterfield too, but agree with:

It's intentional, I think Drew has mentioned this. I think it can look really elegant if the coat is properly sized.
Embrace the butt flare, looks way better than a coat that just falls straight, rakish.
It looks good with a little shape basically. I always button all three buttons though, this isn't a suit jacket.

Overall, it is a nice coat. I got it in camel with horn buttons. Potential buyers should also note that the camel is quite dark, with a peppery tone to it.
Yeah, this was mentioned in the old thread too. It's more of a caramel than camel.

Best to just adopt a zen mind of frame about these things. Stuff arrives when stuff arrives, if you stress it, the wait will just feel that much longer.

Always difficult to wait for something you really want though. I've got a navy duffle and brown bomber on order... gonna get antsy for sure. [IMG]

Oh, I was just trying to point out it wasn't an abnormality but part of the design. I was typing on my phone so I kept it short, so it might have only made sense in my head.

Just got a pleasant email saying my item has been shipped. [IMG] I should get it in the next 1-2 business days. Hooray.

Going to start smoking so I can pose cool pics with the DR on.

idk if I just don't get sf humor/sarcasm, but I'd advise against picking up smoking. yea it looks cool, but the negatives far outweigh the positives. but I'm glad to hear that you got that email. I ordered around the same time [IMG]

+1 The flare looks really elegant in a properly fitted jacket.

Perfect ft, Epoc! Like all the rest of yours. Really want to get the button-downs now, but have to wait for the bag + new leathers though [IMG]. Also, are you guys still making dress shirts?

It was a joke, man. I'm 25 and I don't smoke or drink...pretty boring person actually, haha. I scared myself straight doing heavy research on the toxicological effects of smoking and doing case studies with long term smokers and drinkers.

Looks great, really dig the OD gray especially. Anyone know how the weight of the fabric compares with the original oxfords?

^ the overdyes are a thinner/lighter fabric than the OCBDs. they also fit slightly slimmer from my experience.

+1 this is also true in my experience with the overdye and the ocbd. Like I could fit an xs in OCBD but in the overdye, a small is perfect.

quick question. what else could someone wear under a black DR other than a white shirt or button up that would look as good?
