There's a few guys on here that I've chatted with that prefer the calf over the lamb. One called it an acquired taste.

I admit there is something alluring about the idea of wearing a beat up black leather jacket well into your later years. There is that GQ article that floats around which features Glenn O'brien's old beat up Perfecto, and it still looks great.

Lamb is luxe but I do wish I had calf in my closet as well.

After buying a few ToJ pieces, my personal preference is lamb for bomber style jackets and calf for DR's.

No doubting that the lamb still works really well with a DR though.

Nice, What color zips did you go with?

I have another toffee tan calf on order to nail down the sizing a bit more... and this time with silver zips.

Legend has it the closer you get to drew's restaurant, the higher your DR collar pops by itself. Looks like you're still pretty far

DR 2010 Toffee Tan Calf with Silver zips. I already have a QDR and thought they would be too similar, but I just said screw it. Toffee tan calf looked too good to pass up with the DR 2010 styling.

Today marks 30 weeks since I ordered my A-2. Has anyone else ever hit 30?

I'm at 31, no issues. I expected at least a 6 month wait despite what they told me when I ordered.

Plus it's snowing now anyways, so I should get it when Spring hits around April in Toronto.

Damnit dude. I feel like I need a medium whisky calf in the 2013 DR to complete my life, as I have zero calf. I feel like that model is perfect with calf over lamb, since I prefer the structure it adds especially with the belt.

Wow. Was this the most popular thing to order I guess? I'm at 29 weeks on one. I guess I should fully expect to go 40.

That's oxblood, not whiskey fyi. Maybe you know that though and are just commenting about the material.

Considering you're at almost 8 months are you saying you're expecting this jacket to take a total of 10 months to get to you?

I think calf works best with the DRs that have more hardware, so basically the 2013 DR and the 2010 DR. It sort of goes with the toughness of the aesthetic. The simpler and more minimalistic DRs (MDR, QDR, BCDR) benefit from the drapiness of the lamb.
