I don't think the 2013 rider really is that aggressive it definitely gives off that more fashiony vibe but if you look at the original rider with the lapels and belt it really isn't that aggressive. MDR is more streamline and uniform and with the banded hem it gives off a more classic look. Honestly if your not comfortable getting a rider but you want to get one and your feeling like you can pull it off, get MDR. But if you feel like you can wear anything you can go any route 2013 rider/quilted rider to artishards ultra minimalist rider, any rider IMO is just as aggressive as the next. If your really trying to mark it less aggressive your only route is color IMO, gunmetal zips with a medium/darker brown tone or olive green if it's available since it's a darker neutral and can be paired with anything.

Well, considering it's an $800 jacket and it'll take six months to arrive and most people on the forum are in the process of finding their clothing comfort zone...I don't think it's quite overthinking it to take the time to carefully decide between rider models?

How can you rank jackets on an absolute scale without knowing anything about the end wearer? Also, if they have no idea, dropping $800 on a jacket is probably not smart. Buy whichever jacket you think looks nice. You will like it.

It's certainly possible to rank several TOJs "absolutely" as far as aggressiveness and ease of wear go. It's not really subjective to say the MDR is less agressive than the 2010DR?

Though it does get hazier with some of the more interesting/busier combos.

Also, my list in the first place was obviously subjective opinion?

What do you folks think about unglazed goat for QMDR? Seems interesting but would love to hear your opinions.

^ Quilt rider is a pretty jacket. Give it the prettiest leather.

Also, Drew, I made that beef curry recipe you shared on here a while ago. Damn nice for such an easy recipe. Gonna let the leftover sauce mature for a while and use it for tonkatsu curry.
