Is it just me or does the name tag on that CWU look a little too big? I know the CWU name tag is bigger than the one on the bomber but it looks huge.

Yeah, that's what I was really curious about -- does it do well in the rain? Is it water resistant to some degree? I was just worried that this jacket was a really warm jacket, but might not be suitable for the rain.

^ And so does the pockets etc. My guess is that the jacket is relatively small.

    I can answer that now.

Options: channel quilt, double-needle diamond quilt, single needle diamond quilt (all on shoulders/outside of sleeves) - or unquilted (as above)

Black lamb as standard. Going to make calf suede available from now on, we have a number of colors available in heavy calf suede (different than the stuff we use on the baseball, and different from the lamb/goat suede we use on the lighter suede jackets like the T-1/T-3 series). Inquire within if you are interested in suede.

ah, and an addendum - the pocket zippers will be the normal YKK ball and chain pulls we use on rider's. The flat bars on the sample were a mistake. Those are not that functional as they get lost behind the flashings.

honest question and dumb answer, so bear with me and my stolen-from-the-internets non-TOJ photos, but:

single needle diamond quilt is akin to this: (disregard actual size of cells, stitch spacing, and square/diamond shape)

double needle quilt has double seams where the single needle has single seams. My intent here is to run two heights of figuring in the same quilt panel, one is the small beaded lines of the double needling, and then the larger inner diamond cells will rise slightly higher in effect. Again, disregard cell size and stitch spacing, even spacing needle to needle, as I want to put the double needles pretty close and do large diamond cells. On a men's jacket they'd be about 4-diamonds across, width-wise, in a size smedium'ish jacket, maybe 5-6 cells across on a larger size.

(really shitty leather quality/quilting example, disregard most of this too, just pay attention to general stitch type)
