Same here, and tomorrow's an official office holiday for us, which surprises me every day it comes around on the calendar (I think this is the 4th time since I started here). We didn't get it off when I worked for the government.

A number of companies are moving to such a policy (and some moving away from it). Employees generally like the policy, and companies see wildly different results. Some companies see more vacation time, some less.

At my employer the policy is actually just "we don't track vacation, you just have to clear time off with your supervisor." My last employer didn't actually track it in an HR system but had a set amount of time.

Is tomorrow Good Friday? I worked at a company many years ago that closed on that day.

Not compared to a restaurant or chain store that a lot of high school and college age middle class girls get jobs at. Red Robin or Best Buy as an example. When I worked at Best Buy, the store manager was banging several employees.

Think about a Denny's at 3am on a Friday night. Skanky drunk white chics.

The Detroit Lions (NFL football squad) revealed their new uniforms last night. They are definitely an improvement over what they've been wearing: they got rid of the silly numeral font and they took most of the black out of their color scheme. What they should really do, though, is go back to the Barry Sanders era uniforms. Those were just about perfect.

I thank the resurrected Lord that for three entire days, Piob's stream of banal, self-satisfied drivel will be dammed up in enforced silence. The rest of us being unable to post is a small sacrifice for this gift of peace.
