In the CESpool, of course not. That goes in the "what did you eat last night" thread.

    Three totally unrelated items:

My dad is feeling better after a night in the hospital. He shredded his shoulder joint a few weeks ago and was starting to get some weird stomach/lung things that nobody could figure out.

In lighter news, the opera production I was roped into went OK last night-- and there are five more performances to get everything right.

Also, I was told by my daughter about the f.lux download that is supposed to suppress blue light coming off your screen after sundown. This will help me sleep properly after an evening of work or surfing.

IPads have trouble downloading this particular app, but there is an equivalent function built into the pane that slides up with the flashlight and similar utilities. You can turn on/off, or put it on an automatic schedule.

I use this. It works as long as you arent watching video, then sometimes it has some weird distoirtion issues, but for everything else it's good

Don't get too drunk or you'll delay #50,000.

Did somebody install one of those breathalyzer ignition lock things on his keyboard? Otherwise not sure why this would be so.

    Amusing me:

For no good reason, I was skimming a review of Camille Paglia's new book. I thought little trope was great:

Oh shit, sorry. Accidentally cut out the part that makes it funny: "...only two songs, both by Pat Benatar."

I think just being on this site makes me happy, no homo.

It's nice to be in an area of people who think similarly I guess.

Cross-post from something in the Hibbely Thread (about violinists): my wife and I wandered into Barnes and Noble last night while strolling around the mall. There was a young man in there who was playing a violin next to the cafe in B&N. Unexpectedly, he turned out to be quite a good violinist and he played a couple of beautiful songs that were really quite moving. It was a nice and unexpected moment to enjoy with my wife. :)
