^4 months ago my credit karma email update after the cancelled CC's (and subsequent dip in credit score/rating) had me thinking: Ho Lee Fuk..Its Tu Lo... Honey, Sum Ting Wong.

See that sucks because my boa MasterCard is my oldest card since I opened it when I started college.

My dad gave me a credit card in my name but under his account when I started college too and I've seen it show up on my credit report, though I don't know if it actually impacts my score since I'm not the official account holder. Does it?

My mother did this for me when I was in high school. I stopped using that card and got a different one and forgot all about it. It came up on the credit report when I bought my condo three years ago.

My dad cancelled the card after freshman year because I... Uhh.. Used it too much :embar:

Btw I've been meaning to ask -- what's your mortgage rate? Is it a 30 year fixed? Hope you don't mind my asking.

I thought about refinancing to a 15 year, but I just don't feel like going through the process with the bank and such. Just such a pain in the ass.

My parents refinanced their house and saved enough money over 10 years for a new to us boat. You too could have a free boat!

    I'd rather have a 30 year mortgage.

I mean I only bought the place 3 years ago, my rate is low enough, plus the costs of refinancing is stupid when I could just make some extra payments and make out just as well as a 15 yr.

That rate's a tad high for a 15 year mortgage, but you're in a good spot so I wouldn't refi. We went through that song and dance 1.5 years ago and it's a pain. Ever since the crash and all the new regs, they really stick it to you with all the verifications and whatnot. Our original mortgage in '09 was a breeze compared to the refi in '12.

I just had a new idea that will help me boost my post count by a lot, to where I can become a respected member of Styleforum. Every time I make a good post, I will come here to Happy Thread and post about having made the good post (made me happy).

Well I did have a pretty good post in "Whose Who" where I said that my tailor's name is Johnny Cuffs. But it was too late when I found out why (fraud crime, not expert at cuffs). It's not HOF worthy or anything, but it made me happy to come up with such an idea.
