I ride with my day 1 African Americans don't really need no new friends. To hell with these middle-aged white men talking about wines and sausages and bonsais and shit

I found a finance firm headquartered in Austin with close ties to my alma mater. Better yet, they're hiring aggressively and have a senior associate role open for which I'm a perfect fit. :bigstar:

I want this job and I want to move to Austin.

    Sorry gome!

But you must admit, that's probably the only good Neo post ever.

Austin does not strike me as an M5 type of town.

It's definitely not -- I don't see very many luxury cars here at all, especially compared to Dallas. There are way fewer pickup trucks, too, which I find amusing.

Lot's of hipsters. Lot's of beards.

But so many attractive, down-to-earth, slightly liberal women. And amazing food.

I'm not going to lie, the fact that I can drive and keep my car is a huge draw. I seriously get driving withdrawal and I think I would go nuts if I moved to NYC.

No way dude. Austin and NYC are very different cities in terms of culture.

Even the hipsters look different here. They look more like the original hipster before shit became mainstream. The hipsters in NYC are more the modern type. Fewer beards in NYC, too. Way fewer.

Food is fairly different too. NYC has everything you could want for food, whereas in Austin, you see a lot of the same types of food that are executed very well. You can get damn good sushi here too, which is great. Good ramen joints as well, though my friend took me to one that used chicken instead of pork for the broth and it was decent to good. Fortunately, there is another ramen joint that's supposed to be very authentic and fucking amazing. Noodles were awesome.

Picture of the first dude in history to purchase weed, legally, without a medical marijuana license. This is a historic moment.

This is what he looked like during the transaction:

Sales tax of 20%+. Crazy, lol.

I've gotta find me a good bar out here that makes byrrh mixes.

As for now I'll continue to have it alone before sup.
