Yup. I was right. I managed to confirm that my contact wants me to go for the job. Looks like I'll be updating the ol' resume this weekend.

I still have no idea if it's even plausible that I could get it, but I'm feeling pretty :bigstar: right now.

I saw it Monday. Hadn't seen it since its initial release and enjoyed it more the second time.

Another interesting wine theme movie is Bottle Shock because the back-story is true. The movie is just OK but it does get you inspired to visit wineries in Napa.

We are lucky. On any given day my wife or I will say, "Hey, lets blow off today and head to the wine country". It is only 45-60 minutes away so it is an easy drive. There is so much to see and enjoy up in Napa. We also have been heading to Livermore for wine. Certain grapes do especially well in the dryer, hot weather of the Livermore valley. Tasting is cheaper, unpretentious and you most often get to meet the winemaker.

Paso Robles is also a great trip. Can't believe all the interesting wineries that have sprung up in the last few years. Some excellent and very unique winemaking going on outside of Carmel Valley and over towards Salinas. Carmel now has 14 tasting rooms downtown and many more out in Carmel Valley. Worth a stop.

i have never been to Napa. Nor am I in a rush to visit.

I'd give Sonoma a shot though.

Just had my best three months in business since i started 12 years ago.

    Celeberatin with:

    a) Sartoria Partenopea suit,
    b) a Corneliani overcoat and
    c) a trip to the sea with my fiancée.

Dressing well has been a successful marketing tool. It is also a wonderful hobby.
The sea - well i really miss the horizon. Lookin forward.

I just came up with a great new way to present numerical information in real life. I'll just give examples and you'll get the point:

    Q: How tall are you?
A: I'm tall enough to where I'd fit snugly into a space that is 6 feet and 2 inches tall.

Q: How many students do you have this year?
A: Okay so imagine a farm that has 80 chickens. Now imagine those chickens are students and the farm is a classroom and you've got the idea.

Q: How much do you weigh?
A: I weigh just enough to where the scale says "181" when I step my feet on to it.

Yes, I am very jealous of folks that can just take off and head to wine country like that. I have to say I would love to live in Sonoma or Paso (which is where I'll be). Paso is still a nice sleepy little town and a perfect spot to do absolutely nothing but relax, eat, and drink wine.

Bottle Shock can probably lay claim to the "worse wig ever worn by a leading man." That caveman wig young Capt. Kirk wears is horrid. I also get a charge that the Gustavo character in real life was an actual immigrant. From Croatia.

Q: how many more hours do I have to spend at the office before I am done with work for the rest of the year?
A: okay so think about one of your classes that is scheduled to go for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Now imagine me in the office for that amount of time and you've got the idea

Burgers in Carmel? I don't think they are any better there than anywhere else really. OK but not destination quality.

For real food head here in Carmel http://labalenacarmel.com/

All local. The chef/owner knows the suppliers. Food is excellent. Lively staff.

So you're disappointed with the crowd? Like they've made some bad life choices?

None of my classes go for 2 hours and 30 minutes, so I am having a hard time with this.
