    The 70s are cool but they don't have enough keel for the Lower NY Bay. This guy said he could beat the 70s too but given equal skippers that shouldn't happen. I don't understand why people even buy them when there are Melgi out there for half the price. But this 80 is absolutely beautiful. It's a 2006 and the first owner only daysailed her for a year and the owner we bought it from only had her for a year.

    We are currently debating names. I want to name it Boatmeal or Space Ice Cream or Harbor Dasher (haberdasher pun)

    I don't know much about sailing, but I think it would be pretty cool if there were parentheses in a boat's name. I wonder if that's even allowed?

    However, boat people generally don't follow any rules on the radio and often misuse phrases like WILCO.

    I've seen Reach Around on scratch sheets for assym boats. Funny but vulgar and while my club isn't very Thurston Howell I don't think they would give us a mooring with that name.
