A man who shares the same name as my dad won the Nobel Prize.

Said man also teaches at my alma mater and it has come to my attention over the past few years that many of my former classmates were under the impression that he was my father (even though his wife is asian, and I am certainly not half-asian).

So it is kind of like my dad won the Nobel Prize.

This actually belongs in 'things that are pissing you off', but sometimes coworkers like to call me Dr Atlas, not because I'm a doctor, rather it's because I'm smarter than they are. Trouble is, my dad is the real Dr. Atlas, and I feel like it is disrespectful for me to lay claim to that title without having earned it.

Did your dad invent a method of obtaining huge muscles without lifting weights?

I think you get 1.23M this year...although only 400k when you split it 3 ways.

At that point...its not even really worth going all of the way to Stockholm to pick up such a pittance. Costs almost that much to gas up the Yacht...and you don't really want to be crossing the North Sea in December.

edit: probably worth it for the afterparty though.

You can get a doctorate for only $130 and a few days waiting by the mailbox.

I am looking into buying a large share of a minor league baseball team in St Louis Metro East (Illinois). In honor of my heritage, I am going to ask that the team's name be changed to the Dutchs. I'll keep you updated.

I'm sure Fama and Schiller's wives have had ample time to attempt to disgorge their husbands of very large sums of money if they were so inclined.

Fama is a director of a fund with something like a quarter of a trillion dollars under management and while I don't think Shiller is doing any outside consulting right now, I doubt he is hurting.
