Unless, of course, the purpose of your leisure activities are to be leisurely.

One of my leisure activities is drinking. I enjoy doing that leisurely.

But you can be perfectly leisurely on a sailboat...

You can be but I find many rag baggers are not. It's the difference between owning a sport bike vs a cruiser and purchasers tend to be self-selective.

I'v come to the realization that I am the most incredibly boring person on the face of the planet. During a meeting with some new people at the office the director wanted us to introduce ourselves and say something about us. I literally didn't know what to say. I don't do anything, or have any interests. I just said what I have done at the Company and the director awkwardly was like, yeah, he uh, also drinks wine and martinis and wears suits all of the time...

Everybody else was going on about how they play hockey, or hiking, or other tangible things. I had nuttin.

    Just make some stuff up.

"I'm an avid reader and am currently exploring a self-study of Japanese cinema. I also enjoy day hikes and people watching in neighborhood cafes."

    It's easy.

Snow skiing is done while wearing clothing that makes all women look like the Michelin Man, skiing is done accompanied by beautiful women in bikinis.

Deep sea fishing is the sport of kings.

Diving for not being a completely boring asshole. I guess when you don't come from God's country, i.e Qld you might not be aware of the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.

Tooling around with with a beautiful bikini clad woman on your lap, and a single malt in your hand as opposed to struggling to get anywhere using ancient technology while salty water in your gullet. You stick with smoke signals, and jacking off alone in your cave, I'll keep my smart phone and blow jobs from attractive ladies.

"pretending to be Carry Grant from To Catch a Thief?"
    Meh.

Meh? Meh? Get the fuck off the styleforums.

I can relate, PB. Although I do play the violin. I work out and cook but I don't consider those hobbies. Other than that, I don't really care about "fun", as most people call it.

I mean there are things that I do, but since I have nothing to show for it I don't count it. I mean I play the guitar, but it isn't like I play in a band, or have a record or two under my belt. It is kind of like saying, I check my email each night before bed, or something like that.

    So, the guitar playing...

"I have been playing guitar X years but recently became interested in jazz guitar playing. I find jazz far more technical and rewarding than rock guitar but it's not for everyone."

I've sailed 18 footers on Sydney habour, the least ghey sailing vessel in the world, it is still ultra ghey. You do realize that reliable internal combustion engines have been available since the early/mid 19th century?

I'd count the guitar playing as a hobby.

After I read Moby Dick I wanted to be a deckhand on a whaling ship.
