Starbucks is increasing prices on drinks which will average out to about 20 cents a drink. This is at the same time coffee prices are on the decline as futures are 42% of their higher earlier this year. Good thing no one in hear gets their coffee from there.

Whole bunch of people at work were hell of pleased today turns out they had attended a workshop for people who were overweight basically teach them tricks of losing weight. Apparently the inspirational speaker told them that one of the best exercises you can do is defecate works out the alvdomen to where you get those washboard alvs. And so one of the best ways to work out the tummy is to eat more food, not less.

That sounded pretty dubious to me so I did a bit of research turns out the workshop was sponsored by Totino's.

Self control is the easiest way to manage weight. Eat less than your maintenance level. I'm always amazed by the lack of control of people on a diet.

I'm a firm believer in calories in calories out the macro break down can be debated agnosim. I don't see how or why having a workshop about it at work is appropriate

I would think that at some point in time everyone has been affected by someone they know or cared about struggling or dieing from cancer related to tobacco. Wouldn't that be enough? It's something that never appealed to me but I may also be generation biased

Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things I ever han done. (I used to smoke 2.25 packs of cigarettes per day.)

It's the summer. Cofee and a smoke is the perfect way to start the morning.

I used to smoke and love me some coffee, but there's definitely a better way to start the morning.
