I missed the part where Thomas posted about being a big boss man in a bar and getting a call from an employee who he then berated over the phone in public and thought it'd impress people on the Internet.

Think of the storm as me jizzing on you.

I was debating venturing out to hit up a bar for a beer cause, **** the snow! My game plan was to muster up some liquid courage and approach a hot chick. Naturally, my opener was going to be, "Hi, I'm a management consultant and I drive a BMW. Wanna ****?"

But thanks to your elegant imagery, not anymore.

I hate you -- no surprise you're a canuker too.

a driving ban?

wtf is that...ain't no such **** in Minnesota...probably not in Chicago either.

dude.. it's pretty damn bad outside and we haven't even hit the worst of it yet.

totally good call, imo, after having driven through the storm into boston at 5 PM (well past the driving ban ).

had a couple close calls and it was really scary.

Oh, that's because that part didn't happen, schoolboy. I got the call at an inappropriate time, as my out of office autoreply indicated to the schlub, however I tore him a new one Monday in my office. As any seasoned executive would, schoolboy. I guess I forget some folks have never managed people and assume they know how to handle business.

To be fair, you probably need a driving ban for being an idiot with your car anyway.

@otc: Yeah but people in Boston are exactly like the ones in NYC and Chicago. "oh gawds it's snowing and winter, oh no!" While those in MN, WI, IA, etc. just go "Eh." and have learned to deal with it.

Ha, true. I've been pretty reckless lately, but for 'good' reasons.

Anyway, birthday plans this weekend are getting cancelled cause of the storm. Seriously, after two winters of almost no snow, MOTHER NATURE DECIDES TO *********** ON THE TWO DAYS THAT I MADE PLANS WITH FRIENDS?!

Sometimes I end up in conversations with people who love to tell me about what they do. Often I do not actually care about what they do, but I pretend that I do because I was not raised in a barn. Unfortunately, the people who tell me their stories often were raised in barns. Today I was pretending to care and I asked a question about the person's job. The person gave me to understand that my question was dumb. I thought that was pretty rude, since I was being polite listening to the person's endless goddamn story in the first place.

You are WAY too nice. I would have looked right at them and said "listen, Bob, I really don't give a **** about your dumb ass job. I was just trying to be polite and listen to you ramble on like a soft-headed tit as you always do."

I have no doubt you actually would have said that! The woman would have been very surprised to be called Bob, but she probably deserved it.

ITunes is such a ****** piece of software. Who designed this ****?

QFT. I have ALWAYS hated the iTunes interface. But it's not just them. Most major music players are just utter POS. But there's so few options and everything is so reliant on it that Apple has almost 0 reason to make significant changes..
