UPS has been fucking me all week. I ordered something on Monday and it went out for delivery on Wednesday. Knowing I was going to be at work, I left a signed note for the delivery guy, saying to leave it (wasn't sure if this would work or not). Not surprisingly I got a delivery failure notice. So I signed the slip he left, authorizing him to leave it. They then tried again yesterday. Despite the signed slip, they still didn't leave it. Instead they left an additional slip (mind you this means there were two of them on my door when I got home yesterday). So I signed the second one and left the first there. I also wrote on the front, "Signed on the back, please leave." Well, sure enough, another delivery failure notice today. So now they are holding it about 15 miles away from where I live and I can't pick it up until Monday.

Getting my oil changed (for some stupid ass reason my company will pay for my oil changes but won't pay for the materials for me to do it myself :puzzled: ) and I've been waiting 45 minutes. The only TV has the 700 club on. On full volume. And I can't change it. :fu:

Our USPS guy is an old fart who doesn't deliver packages if he has to walk up steps. He simply records it as unavailable without even leaving a note.

FedEx has been sending me storage bills since August for a package they wouldn't leave, only attempted to deliver once, and only kept overnight, sconce I picked it up pretty much at the exact time it said it would be available. So far they have sent me the bill three times. So that's $1.50 or so in postage, and I can't help but wonder what the man hour costs have been, attempting to collect $12 from me. They spelled my name wrong on the bill - I am quite sure my name does not end in Q - so I figure I'm not that guy, and I'm not going to pay his bill. That, and I never agreed to pay for any storage, so I won't. But maybe it works, and I should just start providing services unsolicited and bill people after the fact.

Around the time of holidays, people often say things to me like "Enjoy your Thanksgiving!" or "Have of Merry Christmas!" I am always caught flat-footed when people say that because I just think of holidays as time to get work done, not as times to "enjoy." And so that means I sometimes fail to say "Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!" I should just master that social norm, but up to this point I have failed.

Please don't go to the office on Thanksgiving (day of turkey).
