My guy knows I'm home, yet sits there for 2 mins writing that stupid orange paper instead of the 1 min to knock on my door. Because he's unwilling to do his job, I have to waste 1/2 hour getting my package.

#2 though, people shouldn't send signature confirmations without an explicit request for it or informing me of it. I fail to see why a delivery confirmation is not enough except for some select circumstances.

I hate delivery guys who don't deliver too. It's mostly because the package is too heavy and they're too lazy. Once he delivers the package, you have to confirm it by signature. I had one guy who just put the packages in the entry of the building, no signature by me whatsoever. Anybody could've picked it up. If I were mean, I would've ordered something very picey (and at the same time small and light, i.e. unsuspicious), he would've put it there and I would've grabbed it plus told Amazon (or whomever) that I didn't receive anything.
Actually, I didn't see him anymore after a few weeks, so I wonder if someone pulled it off.

@harvey: Yeah, iTunes sucks. I'm currently using Winamp and foobar.

Running errands this morning I go to make a u-turn on my street to run upstairs, drop off some groceries and head in to the office. I signal I'm turning left and pull the wheel slightly right so I can make the turn. I do this every single day without a problem. This work van for a cable installer comes flying up and proceeds to cross the double yellows to pass me on the left as
I'm turning left on this one lane road. He realizes what I'm doing and lays on the horn, and I lay right back then gas it and turn around at the next intersection. He proceeds to follow me back to my place and jump out screaming about why I honked at him. After going back and forth and realizing the guy might be unstable, I apologize since this guy now knows where I live and I don't want to get my tires slashed.

I go up stairs to find a certified letter from the IRS for an error on my taxes from 2011 that I already paid in full 4 months ago. At this point I'm so pissed that I drop off the groceries and head down to my car. I'm 2/3 to the office when I realize I left a bag full of refrigerated and frozen stuff sitting on the counter.

I was reading about how some twilight starlet's condo had a huge fire and that one of her dogs died. Then I click on the TMZ link and there's a fucking picture of her grieving with the dead dog swathed in a bed sheet. Even fucking worse is TMZ had a video of her sobbing with the dead dog in her lap from where the picture was probably taken from.

jeeze... these Paparazzi mags/shows/ect. have really reached a new low.

What a cheap headline over a clearly sad story.

This might be pissing me off, but it had quite an acceptable ending.

I was driving along in the snow and pull up to some lights. Some douchebag cyclist (one of serval hundred million in my city) smashes into my wing mirror. I look at the guy and see that he is some bearded 50+ guy, so I lean on the horn expecting him to at the very least wave apologetically - for you know, smashing up my fucking car. The guy gives me the finger, as if I was the dick for putting an automobile on a road.

I do some mental maths and realise that 1) if it came down to it, an unfit 25 year old will indeed be able to take a frozen 50 year old and (2) I don't have to take shit from someone who just fucked up my car. So I climb out and shout at the guy "fuck you, put your bike down and fix my fucking car!"

To my surprise the guy dumps the bike, storms over to my car and pushes the wing mirror back into the housing and gives it a little polish with his sleeve.

I'm now in a very awkward position of having to shout "thank you!" at a man who thirty seconds earlier I was ready to kill.

Until you're in that situation it is very hard to imagine how difficult it is to put "forgive and forget" into practice, and when 30 odd people are watching you forgive a man for doing you wrong it's even more stressful!

    Re: papparazzi

New law for when I am king. If you take employment as a paparazzo (correct singular form?) you give up any human rights you formerly possessed. Anyone can literally do anything they want to you without any recourse from you. Dogs and cats will have more rights than you

I'm getting a little pissed off at catching things this year. Kept the weight off, been eating lots of veggies, both lifting weights and hitting the treadmill, but today makes the third time this year I've caught something. I had major plans today but riding couch because I woke up with an upset stomach this morning. I can reschedule everything except a friend of mine was in town for a medical conference and we were going to meet up.

Ah well, I still have SF, right?
