I think the pants can be a little lighter for a bit more contrast.

I can;t believe those guys flaked!

I'm very curious to learn what you guys think. I was relieved to find it was an actual patchwork (not a print or glue-job or like I've seen on others) but a little bummed it fits so slim for being marked TTS. The pattern is intriguing, but does not raise the pitchforks of my local yokels -- always a plus. And the overdye is great -- indigo stains on the tags are oddly pleasing.

I'll be forever grateful for the heads-up on this ... I had it saved at the top of my want pile ever since its debut at over $500. :fu:

If anyone sees one of those garbstore jackets in large lemme know. There's no way I'd fit in a medium. These are the measurements I got from uncle otis

The jacket's measurement is as follows
    Chest - 19"
    Length - 27.5"
    Shoulder - 18"
    Sleeve - 24"

The chest is like 2.5 inches too small for me hahaa. Shoulders and sleeves are .5-1 inch small. Length is super short as well, even though it's an informal jacket. My CM jackets are like 31 inches usually.

    Hope this helps someone!

I'm thinking of trying to improve my pics with a DSLR camera. What's the recommendation du jour for a solid basic one?

Kinda, yeah. The neighborhoods bleed together a little. I'm in Society Hill, west of that is Washington Square West, and west of that is Gayborhood. I'm not sure where the border is between Wash Sq W and Gayborhood or if there really is one, but it turns into more of a central business district north of there where some of Philly's innumerable hospitals are located. North of that is Chinatown.

Pro tip: Next time you visit, head a few blocks north to Dim Sum Garden at 11th & Race for soup dumplings.

You don't need a DSLR for for pics. Do you intend to use it for actual photography? D5000.

Your problem is location not the camera. Find a better lit area of your home

They are a little lighter IRL, but not drastically. I like the tonality of the combo tho. Ymmv

Lol, they did not flake. They just happened to be out of town the one week that I am here in town. Coincidence?

I do not see spending $300-500 on a piece of equipment will help if quality of the photo case depend on lighting. If you enjoy photography then by all means go ahead. The camera should take you out in the wilderness where you should find some amazing backdrops for your WAYWT pic

It's been years since I've paid attention to cameras, as my nikon dslr hasn't croaked yet, but any cheapish one will work (cheap dslrs have come a looong way). also consider a speedlight for quick n' easy indoor lighting. just promise us no more mirror shots :D

also, buying a camera gives you the added bonus of better b&s pics!
