I'm going to take that as a compliment. I've had a very-exacting-verbiage sort of day.

Yeah if you are going for Take Ivy then tapered and cropped jeans would help. Straight up Ask Andy-style trad looks always feel a little nerdy to me. I'd look beyond that to heavy duty ivy looks of the 70s and to more contemporary interpretations from EG and others for cues.

Isn't shortleeves cool necessarily because of its goof market.

Good call. To be clear though, this was not an attempt at trad. It was part of thinking about how to go beyond basic trad stuff.

I hadn't really ever given engineered garments a look before, but I suppose I will now.

Oh, you're good then. Someone copped the 32s out from under me - placed the order and everything and then they finally emailed me like a month later to notify me they weren't in stock. [IMG]

Ouch. I wanted them but they were completely sold out. Luckily someone must have returned a size 34 and I was able to scoop em up.

Eh, the best Ivy looks can still be found in 1984's Making the Grade.

    (PM for helpful screencaps).

Popping my WAYWT cherry. Not shown is the extra scarf/tuque/gloves required to deal with this frigid weather.
