In the newly-great again America, in Stanley and Mrs van Buren's neighbourhood, this is what is going on:

As someone who has come to North America seeking a better life for themselves and their children, I am feeling despair and sadness at this time. I thought newly-great again America would be a country of eternal sunshine...healthy, beautiful people...endless prosperity...forever a scene from one of Cary Grant's 1930s movies...

A world of people like Stanley van Buren, who I have admired for so long and aspired to become, have become this.

But who knew Stanley would come to this?

Looks really...comfortable. But I think you have room to size down on the shirt jacket and jeans, or at least hem the jeans to avoid the giant doughnut roll.

I think both would look fine sized as is with some more wear on them. The jeans at least look brand new. @DiplomaticTies what cut are they? Ankara?

Edit: Jeans don't look so brand new when I see them on a bigger screen.

Yes, the model is Ankara. I've actually had them a couple of years but I dont wear them very often. I prefer to wear them more in a rockabilly style, unhemmed and sitting on the boot. The shirt is one size larger than what I normally wear but that's because I usually wear it over a sweater.

Makes sense. I'd just stick with the denim personlly and let it break in when it decides to. Have a pair of Ankara's myself in the 12oz denim. Looks to me as if yours are heavier, yes?

I'm very sure your fit looks a lot better than the photo.. bad angle weird lighting and all.. CDG trousers seem too "tailored" for the fit imo.

I think it's the relationship between the trousers and the shoes. Either could work with the top but where they meet is where I see dissonance.

Is it the crease? I feel the trousers are fairly wide in the thighs to not look like normal dress slacks. The crease is really a function of the pleats so I don't feel like they are that tailored when I'm wearing them.
