@AlexanderTG Not sure if those sneakers go well with a tailored jacket, which also needs a collar. As a rule of thumb, if I'm wearing that kind of jacket, I'll have a shirt and shoes/boots. It takes a lot of skill to pull off a casual look with tailored jackets.

Also, pinstripe or chalkstripe orphans can rarely be worn as sport coats. Damn near impossible to pull off well, if at all.

I'm still stuck in the spot where I look in the mirror and I think it looks pretty good. Obviously I wouldn't be taking the time to take pic and post them if I didn't. But while I've become a natural at playing guitar and writing music for a very long time, my sensibilities in the fashion department--which I'm new at--are a bit scattered. I have a lot of things I'm proud to own, and with your help I'll have a better understanding of what goes well and what does not. I really do think this can help me and I'm going to try not to overload this thread with impertinent junk. But I'm sure I'm not the first guy who stumbled onto this site and came out looking better and feeling better. Not by a long shot, I'm sure.

And just so's you all know I've been mixin' and matchin' since 1975 I'm here to show ya.

When I asked my mom how she ever let me leave the house like that she said, firmly, "Alex, you always picked out all your clothes . . . I had nothing to do with it."

    ;)

    Have a great night, peeps.

those 3-sixteens are their slim leg model in gray, but i dyed them black and then found out that they age pretty fast, so they're kind of like turbo-break-in raws. the rise is a little too low.

i was thinking today about a noragi actually.

and AlexanderTG, you've got a great attitude here.

thanks so much for all the warm wishes, and for all the thumbs, everyone. really appreciate it, very heart warming indeed.

@Benesyed - No hate but that would be mad awkward lol

@StanleyVanBuren - The child will not be named Tom. Or Thom.

my man, i shit you not, in some ways, its more of a roller coaster than having kids.

    @spacepope and @ghdvfddzgzdzg - digging those fits a lot.

    Today wearing my

    Charles Tyrwhitt navy/silver stripe shirt

Naked and Famous cashmere stretch jeans

I've posted pics of this oufit again, and I too thin ATM, so I won't repost a pic, but the jeans are fading really well..

Didn't think I'd end up with a rotation of 8 pairs of jeans, but SF SW and D just makes you want to buy every pair that fits!:)

Congratulations Stitchy, you look really happy. The kind of happiness even nice clothes can't buy. [IMG]

As I get older, the clothes get more expensive, but the fits get more boring... Funny how that works.
