Yeah, I have some very nicely tapered pants, happy with the fuller cut of these for a more relaxed look. Bagginess under the knees is my major complaint here... Both are a bit more pronounced due to the low shooting angle

Ended up swapping out the bottom half as it seemed a bit incongruous. Not 100% sure on these pants -they don't always seem to drape flatteringly - though they look ok here - and they don't seem to agree with cuffing or rolling which I like doing. Texture is nice up close though.

Trousers are ok. Maybe something more fun would be your eg paisley cords :)

    Dat hair though. Jealous..

Lorcan7, are those the heather grey USN pants? Those have a nice drape and the texture does look cool.

Thanks penance! yeah pants are maybe a bit sensible for my tastes, unlike the cords which I love. Pretty happy with the hair right now, aiming for full Jared Leto shoulder length territory...

    Yup that's the ones

Nn, N, lorcan, all looking so chillxed today. I like it.

Nathaniel, those jeans look to be way too tight to me. I am not aware of any "dads" that wear their jeans like that.

As someone who wears jeans that are probably tighter than I should, that photo makes me uncomfortable.

^ very nice , TTO and IS, if i were so daring i'd even wear a patterned shirt and pocket square, up to 5 should be doable.
since you're both sporting them today, what is the appropriate number of button closures on a DB jacket ? and can you ever have it open ?
(not that i really follow any rules, i usually button up all 3 and my sleeves are considerably longer on me than yours on you)

that's a very nice outfit, certainly that 19th century vibe which appeals to me.
i agree with your sentiments, in any case.

    thanks, shah!

as i understand it, the way that TTO and i have it, with only the middle button buttoned, is the standard way. i have seen people button only the bottom and leave the middle open even on a 6 x 2, but i think you need a lot of the right rakish steez to do that. both buttoned im not sure really, but i dont like it, i dont think the jackets are really cut for that but i could be wrong.

as to leaving it open, i dont, but i know letterman does.
