I guess it's because the NN piece seems interesting enough on its own, but a decent chunk of that is obscured by the scarf.

I like the idea you were going for tworkz but I think it's just kind off. I know what you were trying to do but everything looks just slightly out of place. The scarf can go, and I don't think the robe looks too good with the black, or at least with that shirt.

    Gotcha

I would probably choose a different scarf in hindsight, but I needed something regardless because it was pretty cold out last night.

It's actually this really cool piece with buttons all over it. I bought it intending to wear it as a shawl or a skirt but it turned out to be too finicky for that and now I just use it as a scarf.

    My thoughts on worksheet fit:

i dig the grey palette you're going for, but the scarf does sort of overwhelm everything else (perhaps because of the angle, which makes it look HUGE). Also, it's kind of odd to see a light flowy jacket (which i like!) underneath a heavy scarf like that

Keep the tee, but swap out the shoes with plain black ones so the tee's the only contrasty thing about the fit. That way you keep your main points of interest controlled and focused. Peace

Just needs a less substantial scarf, but I like the fit.

Yeah, that post took a day or so to show up.

Thanks for your comments! I did just buy some distressed brown suede cap toe side-zip boots, should be here soon. And I own some Chippewa shit-kickers. I guess I will get rid of the oxfords, I noticed another poster comment about them too. The peacoat is a large, but I wish it were just a bit bigger. I might have to get rid of that although I really like it, it is just a little too small. I got a new coat a few days ago, I'll have to post a fit with it sometime today... [IMG]

Up your shoe game benes, and maybe get a more classic pair of thick rimmed glasses and that'll really kick

Nice. For some reason reminds me of Virgil Sollozzo from the first godfather movie

(Can't find a better picture with his hat on)

I plan to get those postmans teger suggested. I think they will look great here. As for glasses, I know people do not like these ones but I really do still so until I change my mind I will hold on to them

Here is the sweater version. Too cold outside! (let me know which version is better - i am partial to the sweater sans hat though)

I actually like the shirt better. I think the top half looks really good. Just need a better ground game with nicer shoes and a cleaner break in your pants.

Yeah. I haven't hemmed them because there is detailing at the bottom that would pretty much have to be lopped off. But I guess I have to :(

I think I should just get the koppidge slim trousers

    bow tie fail

I just like the tw fit bc it's fresh, could have been executed better but I appreciate seeing something good different than the usual.

    TWorksheets:

Nice outfit but this is what I would change:

Scarf - maroon / burgundy. Preferably EG red/gray stripe button shawl
Jacket - I just wish this was longer (pointless comment)
    Jeans - check
Shoes - white canvas shoes or some white boots

You should attempt the recent lookbook of InAisce F/W '13: White jumper / gray coat / black jeans / white boots. It's actually warming up here now but if it is cold at your place, perhaps even the white hat / beanie. Sounds generic but if you saw the inAisce look, it works very well.
