Oh, ok, sorry. I only pop in here every now and again so I didn't know this has been going on for a while now.
Last time I popped in here a few weeks back, another poor dude was being crucified for his glasses when it was clear he was just trying different shapes. My bad.

But I agree that there is a definite aesthetic here that blindly heaps praise on certain brands, regardless of their absolute merit.

If I was owner of this forum, I would demand a tribute from Suspension Point, for all the free advertising, even shilling, that their merchandise gets on this forum [IMG]

Joseph should definitely be paying affiliate fees because a lot of dudes were crass enough to mention on here that they bought stuff from his shop.

KOY always had potential..I could tell by one of the very early fits he posted (everything fit nicely, good choice of colors).

I should have been born a two decades earlier. I'd be cutting edge.

    Experiment failed :(

That is not the fit that will save this thread from its recent detour toward Shitsville.

ElisiX, don't take this place too seriously and really just do what you want, when I started all I got was "boring", "basic", "expensive basics", I pretty much did what felt good and made me happy, it has worked out pretty nicely, but I tend to go against most of everything that is thumb-upable here

Speaking of wearing the same thing

tanners had his chance about 100 posts ago

if there is one thing true about SF its that if there are more than 50+ new posts in less than a day, they are not fits.

thanks for the feedback guys! think those pants are salvageble at all or not?

I might have them just tapered below the knee if there is no alternative, and have them just be a pair of slim fit trousers. The materal is very nice!

Benes, the problem with pursuing the Yohji aesthetic is that it is not an inexpensive buy-in. Your posts in this thread and Recent Purchases indicate that you're trying to push back against that truism. There are good Y! Japan deals to be had, but in browsing the Yohji thread, I'd say you either need to luck out or pony up for a lot of the good stuff. Your recent purchases feel like a hodgepodge of Yohji undesirables and alternate brand stuff that you (wrongly) think fits with the Yohji look.

Ask yourself whether or not you really wanna dive down the Yohji rabbit hole. Unlike a lot of other aesthetics you see around here, it's not one you can kinda, sorta go in on and expect good results. If you decide the Yohji look is what you want, then at least take a break from making so many purchases that seem to be based on either great deals or because the item might gel with Yohji in a vague sort of way.
