I dunno, maybe there's something here but I just don't get it, particularly the first outfit. They all look like very generic items you could have bought at Costco, Walmart, Sears, et al.

well... umm.... the hat is probably from the 80s, made in the usa. the jacket is old made in the usa polo... the tee is just a shitty photo tee from supreme, the jeans are japanese made evisu that look to be worn about 10 years, and the shoes are just cheapo NB.

i think it looks cool... but what the fuck do i know?

Where it was made has little to do with if it looks good or not, particularly when we're talking about a baseball cap. I just don't see what differentiates this from the average guy who doesn't give a fuck what his clothes look like -- and if the answer is "mine was made in the USA", that's not really a solid answer for me.

    So does my grandfather.

Yeah, Lane is an easily example if your point is "Styleforum dresses like a bunch of gothic fairies" now, but there's a lot of other posters like Synthese, jwied, Aeglus, baconzilla, Snowman, willy, and surely other great ones whom I am omitting, who cross a wide array of style "genres" but manage to wear their looks in slick and interesting ways. The imagination bar has been raised quite a bit.

    edit: synthese noooo your pompadour

I like this, cept the shoes. Personally I would have gone for those big ass boots, but there is probably a safer choice

I tried to cut my own hair. It was a disaster, and then I had to have it saved. Now it's really short, and it makes my huge head look even more gigantic. Oh well, in a few weeks it'll be business as usual.
