He started a thread in the Health forum a while ago, and I remember a bunch of guys gave him the awful "squats and deadlift no matter what your goals" advice. I hope he didn't listen to them.
I've stayed true to compound lifts for the better part of three and a half years. I've always had big thighs and a big ass, but kept with deadlifts, squats, etc. because they really are the best bang-for-your buck movements you can do in the gym.

That said, my larger lower body has always been somewhat out of sync with my upper body. Heavy squats, deadlifts, and the like were not helping this matter, even during cutting phases. I'm a week into a trial period of less emphasis on these movements. I've replaced them with walking lunges (low weight), jump squats (body weight), and more running.

I'm still going to have one session a week of heavy squats, deadlifts, and similar movements. But I'm curious to see if fewer of these movements coupled with more running and a continued caloric deficit will help symmetry between upper and lower body composition.

That's basically my long-winded way of saying perhaps wagthesam should try something similar, since he seems to be in the same Lifelong Big Ass and Thighs boat as me.

    I'm just doing starting strength.

Due to muscle memory, thighs back to where they were pre cut quickly.

    Chest is developing thought.

Due to genetics I doubt as I increase weight the thighs will get more disporportionate than the rest of me. The chest will catch up, takes time though.

I was going to take a fit pic, but then realized that I had posted it before. So, stock photo. Probably the last time I'm going to be able to wear the cardigan before it gets too warm out. [IMG] [IMG] DBSS Julius x2 F+B

Yeah man, I think they're called, like, Clark's or something? I hear James Bond wears them.

Snake, I always like your tops, but I can't help but feel that most of the time you ought to be wearing trousers, or something. I don't know. Sweet knit, though, most definitely.

Grass is always greener. Big thighs make finding slim-straight cuts that jive with your legs nearly impossible.

I know but damn if that stacking gets any higher they will be up to his nuggets. The stacking makes him look short.

Kind of shitty pictures, but when you think about it, at least it's easier to see than Kunk's. Posting so I'm not just hating from the cheap seats in Recent Purchases thread... Hence, the most predictable thing imaginable would be Uncontrol making a value judgment. Comments welcome as always though.
