Looks like one of the IWC Pilot St. Exupery models.

I don't travel with a cheap watch, but I only travel with one good watch. Even though my watches are insured, I don't like transporting multiple watches, or having to leave them at a hotel (even if it has a vault/safe deposit box).

I'm guessing it's one of their Le Petit Prince release!

I had a feeling you might get it :) Excellent guess, and correct.

It is the IWC Pilot St. Exupery in 18K White Gold. One of 250.

I think they released 500 in Yellow Gold, 1 in Platinum (auctioned off for charity) and 1k+ in steel.

I love the weight and look of the white gold. It's a striking watch. :slayer:

The dial is actually a sunburst tobacco color. And the lume is pretty killer, too.

I haven't been a big fan of IWC in recent years, but I really like the St. Exupery (normal sized/not Big Pilot) pilot watches. For me that tobacco color dial really makes that watch! My father almost bought one of the original St. Exupery chronographs (about 10 years ago), but the dealer couldn't get in the last one that he thought he would be getting. Congrats and enjoy it! Thanks Dino! Yes - the dial is really something else. In fact, this being my first IWC, I'm highly impressed with the case finishing, dial finishing, and overall feel of the way this watch was assembled and finished.

@beefcake: any further impressions on the Tudor vs. Rolex? I mean in terms of how it wears / wrist presence....I assume you're just more comfortable with it?

Hi! Yeah, psychologically more comfortable with the Tudor anyway. I had issues with justifying the cost of the Rolex honestly, and most of all people's reactions to me wearing it. I miss it though, it's perfect. As to how the black bay wears and wrist presence, I'd say the 114060 is neater and classier and the black bay is maybe more modern in terms of size and wrist presence, but its not that much different.

Finally tracked down a beautiful new piece which I took delivery of yesterday. Very happy to have finally been able to land one and even happier with the condition. I'd post it but it has mixed reviews here so perhaps I'll hold off.
