    I wanted to love it badly, tried it on next to the MUT moon (both steel), and slept on it. The MUT sang enough to me that I bought it instead, and the Geophysic was snapped up instantly by someone else. It's an attractive watch--but it's not a 'complete' watch, IMO. This April:

    QFT....and I enjoyed reading your thoughts. I haven't tried on the Spectre edition, or even seen one in the case yet, but the regular version didn't really grab me personally.
    Listen to mimo.
    My vote on this would be the 512, FWIW. But I could see arguing this either way, so the OP will have to decide which one really smiles back, and go with it.
    We'll be expecting some food pics :D

    BTW, if you happen to fly Lufthansa business/first into Frankfurt and have a 4-6 hour layover (I just did) there's a special deal you can do with the airport Avis. 99 Euro gets 3 hours in a Porsche; I got a brand new 911 4S cabrio with PDK & Sport Chrono. Highly worth doing.

    He bought a moonphase JLC, not the one pictured.

    I agree that the MUT was a good choice. The Geophysic does nothing for me, and as much of a virtue as simplicity can be, it's merely simplistic.

    I've only had one quick look at the Geophysic, and to me, it seemed just a touch too "thick".

    Haven't tried it on the wrist, tho...and my AD only had that one in stock (briefly) many months ago.

    The fine folks at FedEx delivered a package to my office this morning:

    I've liked this watch ever since Rolex introduced it at Baselworld last spring. I've wanted a blue-dialed watch, also. So here it is! Now I need to get the bracelet sized and I'm good to go. This is my first new Rolex. And it's a beauty: there's just something about it that speaks to me.

    39mm ref 114300BLSO.

    Fantastic Andy. What a nice Monday in the office.

    A very classic design that you can hand down to an heir, but the blue face makes it a bit more unique. 39mm is a great middle point between today's bigger dials and the 36mm designs of the 60s and 70s.

    I like the baton hands, which never go out of style. Are those green squares at the outside of the dial markers? Lumes perhaps?

    @Keith T

    Nice to know I'm not the only one enjoying the VSA Maverick! This was my first "expensive" watch, before I got dragged into the mechanical watches rabbit hole. I haven't been switching between bezel colors though, only the black Maverick GS (date at 6) for me though! What models do you own?

    Not a watch often discussed, unfortunately!

    @Andy57

    Very nice acquisition, enjoy in good health!

    Very nice! The green dabs look a lot less prominent than I had seen in other pics. Would love to see some more once it's sized and on the wrist.

    Sorry for any confusion Shawn, but I was actually quoting Blaugrana there.

    Maybe he can weigh in further regarding the VSAs.

    And +1 to Andy. Looks great!

    After 4 months with it on my wrist every day, I suspect the BLNR may be my grail. It was a hard choice between the BLNR and the MUT Moon - two very different watches but both stunning. I think I made the right one.

    Most amazing part of this watch is how different it looks in different situations.

    Low light - the blue seems to vanish

    Daylight makes the blue pop:

    And, obligatorily, its natural home:

    Stunning BLNR there, @Bleedblue. I can see why it would be a grail piece for you and many others. My SubC is, I think, mine.
