Sadly, the ones I tend to go to are work functions or, worse, awards dinners.

    Otherwise I'm with you 100%

Can I enlist the collective knowledge of the TWAT team to help me in ID-ing a 1950s vintage Longines? Appears to be a gold case, but no hallmarks or serial number on the back. Back case is rounded. Movement is hand-wound. I didn't measure the case, but maybe 36mm.

    Any ideas?

@no frills I'm assuming you're carrying this wallet with that fit correct?

Talk on the street is its a fair and decent seller who sells for straight maket value. Never dealt with him myself. I always look for opinions on WUS

Their new Cellini models don't get a lot of love on TWAT, but I'm a big fan!

2 entirely different kind of watches and intended purposes. If it was me, I'd choose the SARB, because I already own 2 divers, and I'm lusting after the entire SARB line up.

I can't, but only because the watch is not in my possession. I thought about that, but it wasn't practical, as I was visiting the owner, and while I offered to help her value the watch, I couldn't take it to a watchmaker.

Thanks very much! Celadon is simply a passion project of mine - a quest to build something which I couldn't find before, an exceedingly well-made, elegant, dressy but versatile watch, but with a certain distinctive charisma (something usually missing with mainstream dress watches).

Quite a few friends here have the Red dial, and many also have the Blanc de Chine (ivory) watch, or both :D

And many have ordered the upcoming Midnight Blue with Plum Blossom Guilloche, or the Blanc de Chine with Peacock Guilloche (absolutely stunning this one :slayer:)

Here's Alex Ghotbi (moderator of the Vacheron Constantin owner's club The Hour Club, and one of the founding members of The Purists) wearing a Celadon Imperial at a gala dinner in Geneva...
