Very nice moo, congrats and welcome to the Sub Gang!

Discovering stickers after wearing the watch after a few weeksand even moths always happens to me too. Check the clasp, there tends to be one or two hiding inside there too.

Grats again and that'll partner up well with your Speedy.

No fancy unboxing or crown, but made an impulse buy when bringing my wife's watch in for service. I've long loved this watch, even with the new blue version, this one still had me smitten.

*Envy*...congrats, Moo! Very much on my wish list, and looks fantastic.

Wonderful. And I like this one more than the blue one - notwithstanding my general love for blue things: the "Internet Explorer" home logo on the new one is just too silly. Best wishes to you and your "heimat"!

As I understand it, the irony of this is that Fleming only ever said a "Rolex", and never which one. It was only Connery's movie Sub that set the precedent. Fleming's might have been a plain old white-dialed Oyster for all we know - and a whole world of suit-suitable-or-not debates would have never been.

Of course, dressing up a Sub is preposterous. Dressing up a pilot makes much more sense. Probably.

From what I understand, Flemming himself wore an Explorer.

Hard to even tell what brand he's wearing in this photo.

I meant the one in Fleming's mind when he wrote that Bond always wore a Rolex. But like his nylon underpants, short sleeved shirts and aversion to shoe laces, I would suspect that Fleming based this choice also on his own.

Thanks guys. I was surprised the wife encouraged the purchase, though perhaps she was trying to avoid the bigger purchase I had planned for next year, which this certainly does push back. But I just couldn't resist, especially with a big trip to South and Central America coming up, just gave me the nudge I needed.

This isn't a true world timer, still a GMT technically, though you can get around the world in about 19 seconds. I tried on the JLC Master Geographic as well, which has always been my other choice for this style of watch. After having both on there was a clear winner in design and practicality (ease of use and reading the dial). I was surprised how much more I preferred the NOMOS, but it really wasn't even close for me.

Crowd sourcing help; what strap should I pick up? It comes on black shell, but I wanted to pick up something else. I was thinking gold ostrich from CF (like what Nuke got on his MUT Moon). Or maybe something in navy/midnight, which would have the benefit of being Foo approved with any shoes. I'm open to suggestion.
