I'd love to you explain if there is a certain connection between 9ct and UK as I did not know it existed. But, yes - I reckon it's made for the british market out of its mile telemeter scale and the fact that I bought it from an English gentleman... /M
The UK (well, this may include the Commonwealth/various former colonies) is more or less the only place that has ever accepted a gold standard as low as 9ct. The typical standard is 14 ct.

Very nice, it's got some characteristic wear and tear on 'em.

That Lange is sick. I love the aesthetics of the movement. I don't get Breitling.

The Lange was (I sold it because I have watch ADD) gorgeous. The Breitlings were just beater toys. I'd never buy one retail. They depreciate faster than a Rolls-Royce. Actually, those have since been sold also. These are just watches I've had over the past 4 years. But the Lange was one I should have kept...

Yes, you should have kept that Lange [IMG]

I guess I should say that I do kind of like some Breitling designs, as I don't hate the brand. Just nothing that excites me in general.

P.S. Please check your PM John

No, but I am seriously considering it.

i recently bought two replacement straps from freda. not exactly a 'bells and whistles' site but good selection, easy to negotiate the site and reasonable prices.
    hope you find the same

I have. Completed 1 and started 2 but never finished. I'm a dilettante when it comes to this kind of stuff...

Singular - that 30T2 is pretty

You found that on the beach?

I kid, I have one too. It was my first "serious" watch.

Here're some pictures of my recently purchased 1961 King Seiko. It's on a different strap now as the shiny black reptile skin really sucked. The watch looks better in real life than the pics.
