Thanks mate! More delicious pics in Part II to come...

One question to you guys - any interest in seeing pics from the Van Cleef booth ? My partner was trying on the enamel dial watches. Sidenote (of clearly no importance :D) - Van Cleef had by far the hottest models (not of the watch kind!)

    Oh it's pretty easy...

Buy that big shiny watch with a hole in the dial, that has this funny moving revolving thingie. Then email their CEO Charlie with a pic asking for a matching bespoke espresso demitasse... :slayer:

No idea but I think they're VC's own design, made by their in-house enamellers. It's a set of 3 for 2013 - they did a set last year too.

    Wanna see closer-up pics?

Nice watches, I actually got to see all 3 at the W&W event. Lemme see if I can find the pics...

    The Reverso Gyro is sexxxy.

Would still prefer Newcomer's avatar though.:)

Thanks Dino! I actually prefer the NY boutique edition 1921, the one with big luminous Arabic numerals like the original vintage VC. I wear my watches on the right hand so neither work for me (unless I go bespoke!).

Love the Historiques line too, although they carry a huge premium over the Patrimony line while still sharing the same movements. A sentiment echoed among the VC community as well.

25k for the 1921 was not cheap, but 40k is just crazy!

I think the current Chronometre Royal is just a sad shadow of the 1950s versions, in beauty, movement and actual timekeeping.

More pics to come in Part II of the W&W event!

Quick question, what do you guys think of this leather case I've designed for my watch? Rugged cow leather, red exterior, tan suede interior. Can function as a travel trinket tray. And is further contained in a handmade paper box. :slayer:

I think it is a very cool case. I personally like "travel cases." I find that the "home box" is sometimes just too large to be functional. And for some reason or another, I always tend to be transporting my watches from some place to another.

It looks very nice, and I like that you have tied it together with your brand.

That's a nice change of pace from the wooden 'presentation boxes' that for me, generally end up on a shelf or in a drawer someplace. I might actually use this as a travel case since it wouldn't take up much packing space and I like to travel light.

    ^^ looks great, jh ^^

thanks for the thoughts guys. i defo learned a lot from it, and it was awesome to own another iconic watch. i think though that for me, in the 5-9k MSRP range, its hard to have more than 2 for me. for me to get to 3, i think i would have to hit the next level. obvi not everyone is that way.

im still on the fence. i may send it to a guy a know to show it in his store, see if i can get a real nice ask, and then take it from there if i dont get as much as i want.

    this is super cool.

want so bad. do not love the gold tones on the tryptique tho. prefer the all silver/blue/black tones.
