Was it just me, or did they introduce a couple of new characters in that episode? Who the hell was the guy driving the Winnebago?

are you marsupialed? he's been in a few episodes since they showed up at the farm. he kind of materialized here and there. I think he was one of Hershel's sons. He took his death pretty well. One thing I ddin't get was why he saw fit to try to walk out of the RV with zombies sorrounding it.

Not marsupialed, that I'm aware of, but I'm usually pretty baked when I watch the show. If I'd ever seen him before, I forgot about it

What the hell, it's not like there were hundreds of people on the farm, there were about a dozen. Would it be so hard to spend 20 minutes on each character over the course of the season, so we get a bit of a sense of them as people before they become zombiechow?

the show is progressing at a slow pace as it is,if they did that then the season would have 30 episodes knowing how these writers are .

There's way more characters in the graphic novel and people get killed left and right, even what seems like the most "important" characters get the axe.

I feel the same way about the graphic novel. In fact the problem there is considerably worsened by the crappy artwork - half the time I can't tell one minor character from another.

I certainly don't mind important characters getting the axe, that just makes it all more interesting.

He is the equivalent of of the heretofore unseen original Star Trek crew member of the landing party that never makes it back to the Enterprise.

Those are side dishes. Beth, one of Hershel's two daughters, and Carol are the remaining side dishes. I was thinking T-Dog was one too, but with the arrival of Michonne I think T-Dog gets promoted to main dish. The show has almost run out of side dishes so they'll have to be joined by some soon.

The dim side dish who forgot the lock the Winnebago's side door was Jimmy.

Just wondering how many here were readers of the comics before the show started and how many, like myself, have never read the comics?

Watched the show first, then started reading the comics.

Does reading the comics while enjoying the show enhance or detract from watching the show? I thought about doing the same but I'm not sure I want to know what happens before I see it on the show.

Reading the comics made me realize why the show sucks, the source material just isn't good enough.
