I think I've seen a Bonafe like that, but can't recall a Vass.

After buying two pairs of Vass at one I told myself I was done buying shoes till spring. But these great examples of suede especially the red brown suede have really been calling my name.

I think I'm gonna have my salary direct deposited to Vass.

Those plain-toed Oxfords on the "gallery" page are tasty in a Lobb/Paris sort of way. Normally when the vamp seam is pulled further back than normal-- a la G&G-- it can look contrived. By keeping them low but daring to go all the way past the heel, he's made these look very slick indeed.

Only 6 pairs a year? At 1200? How does he live off of that?

Edit: ok, read more closely, he does other shoe repair/patina work, too. Great!

You'll have to look through the thread, but examples of chukkas with goyser have been posted.

+1. Didn't Skoak carry one a year or so ago? I seem to recall Ed carrying a Buday chukka with a full goyser too but I can't find any pics.

I know. The pic was so you'd have an idea what the chukka looks like with goyser stitching.

For a direct purchase from Vass (either in person or ordered) is the VAT 27% in Hungary? So for instance the Vat of a 600 euro shoe (where that includes VAT) would be 27/127 * 600 = 127, so price ex VAT = 473. Is that right?

Anyone know what the customs charge would then be for shipping to the US? Is that range like...$0 to ??

Wearing my Vass Boots today. One of the nicest boots and really like this color.

Thinking to add a pair of Cordovan Bordeaux chukka boots and leaning towards the new SP last. Would appreciate any feedback about this new last that Vass started carrying.
