Could you give us the make and models for each? My initial thought was the darker pair, but the toe is a bit too squared for me, so I would go with the lighter pair, also has a more refined feel to it throughout the make

    It is

Although I may not like the darker finish the overall design and the hand sewn technique on the Dover looks much better.

Yep. It's a Dover in Dark Oak on the 606 last.

The other one is on the U last - with the dark cognac leather. Its made differently than the norweger which is the traditional Vass split toe. I think Vass did a very good job given its not one of their standard models.

What is not evident from these pics is how large the Dover is compared to the U last. The length and width are more or less the same but the Dover is significantly taller.

    Vass looks very Italian
    EG looks very English

Both are gorgeous and I would be happy with either.

Does any one have experience with the Budapest last and how it compares to the F last?
I take 43.5 or 44 in F, what would I take in Budapest?
    Thanks in advance.

There's a gorgeous pair of EG Derbies there for $553, size 9D. I'm a 9 1/2 or I'd have looked for some reviews of the site and probably bought them tomorrow.

I'd be careful about purchasing from that site. A lot of these photos are taken from eBay, with full size runs despite there not being the equivalents on eBay. The site also doesn't have any contact info. My guess is that it's a site set up to take people's credit card info. There are a lot of "discount" sites like this, which are essentially just places where people fish for credit card numbers.
