Thanks everyone. CASE, the others are correct about this being an Old English II boot on F (Vass MTO). Zapas, I thought about HAF, but wanted this one as sleek as possible (not that my others really aren't), so I just went with single.

This was the pair I had for sale, but decided to keep. I can only have a new pair of Vass sitting around for so long before they make it onto my feet. I swapped the thicker unwaxed laces Vass uses (also in NAMOR's photo) for thin waxed laces...old laces in photos below. A small change, but easier to use with blind eyelets and the lacing closes a bit more.

I think orange was something they received in short supply. But even so, Gold was far more impressive to mine eyez

I don't know about the time, but the lasts are definitely wood. We took some pictures when we visited the manufacture, one is already on our tumblr, will post a pic of the lasts later.

Can't wait!!! Hopefully be ready soon after summer

Pic of s last and u last. S last toe tip slightly wider, and has a lower instep then u last. Nose is slanted while u last toe box is a little taller with higher walls. Both size 44:

I like the U last alot but going by my better instinct, i had to order a pair in S last instead to fit my slightly widish and low instep. Also a size 44. It is en route.

I might ask Mr Kuti about the new C last.

The S is wider in the ball, too. And it's true that they're working on a couple of new lasts: the F and U was commercially successful but not an especially happy collaboration. They want to make something new by themselves.

And "orange" gold museum was a mistake, not the colour they wanted, and when it's gone it's gone. The "dark gold" is closer to what they wanted and therefore remains in supply.

This is very interesting. It'd be interesting to know 1) why the collaboration with Ugolini for the U and F lasts wasn't a happy one, and 2) "a couple of new lasts"? Not just one?

I'm not at all sure where the unhappiness rests, but I can tell you that I am tickled pink with those two lasts.

At this level of quality, leathers and a hype, I expect them to raise prices soon .. It's completely senseless Vass is almost 50% cheaper than EG.

Great pics Namor. Thanks for posting.

I think Vass Double Monks are the second best RTW DM in the market after JL.

I disagree. Vass are made in Hungary while EG are made in England. Labor costs, tax and regulatory compliance costs, and other general costs of doing business are much higher in the UK than in Hungary.
