sounds similar to my next MTO...waiting on my P2 Osloer in Antique Cognac Cordovan to confirm I got my size right...next MTO I am thinking Norweger High Boot, P2, Caramel/Gold Radica Calf, 4 hooks...

Quote:Ok, Think I'll keep away from that stuff as half my Lobb collection made up of the Musuem calf......typical high-end Italian leather quality...looks very very nice but a pain in the backside to maintain....I find the Vass and Saint Crispin leather better to play around with.

This shell looks more and more like the cognac shell. Not what I expected but I really like it

What I like best about these is the way the shell is darker around the stitching. Adds an extra dimension.

An extra dimension without the distraction of contrast stitching

Vass's whiskey and saddle are two slightly different colors. Search this thread-- there are a few comparisons.

Agreed. However I wouldn't be surprised to see overlap. I'm almost certain my whiskey is as dark, if not darker than the cognac I tried on at the vass shop

Madre mio. What a collection. Your photos have raised the question of whether I don't need a pair of what I take to be Budapest last loafers in ostrich.

    Thanks for posting these photos.
